The Finnish Port Operators Association is a national employers' and lobbying organization representing the interests of stevedoring and terminal services and other materials handling and logistics operators in Finnish ports. The Association's mission is to protect and improve operating conditions in the sector to ensure that its members can conduct their business profitably and can constantly develop their operations.

NEWS

NEGOTIATION RESULT FOR THE SALARIED EMPLOYEES SIGNED ON 28.4.2010

The Finnish Port Operators Association and The Union of Salaried Empolyees have today, 28.4.2010, signed a new General Agreement for the office workers. Validity of the new Agreement will start immediately after the previous Agreement, i.e. 1.5.2010 and last till 30.4.2012. The agreement will be valid after the administrative organs of the associations have accepted the negotiation result.

HARBOUR STRIKE OVER 19.3.2010

Parties have accepted the proposal for agreement that the National Conciliator Esa Lonka made in the early hours of this morning.
 
Work in the harbours will be started as soon as it technically is possible.
 

Members of AKT participating in the strike are to return to work as soon as possible, latest on Tuesday 23.3.2010.
