STRIKE IN THE FINNISH HARBOURS

The Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) has started a strike in all Finnish harbours on Thursday the 4th of March at 06.00 o’clock.

In practice the strike will mean that AKT members do not handle cargoes arriving in or leaving the harbours. Medicines, hospital equipment, dangerous goods and feed for animals are excluded from the strike and will be handled also during the strike (according to specific procedures).

Situations will vary depending on the harbour and port operator / terminal and we would advise you to contact your own partner in Finland if you require detailed information on a specific matter.
